The Challenge
EcoCart aimed to redefine carbon-neutral shopping by integrating carbon offsetting into various sectors, including retail, micromobility, and food delivery. Following a $3 million investment, the company sought to redesign its platform to broaden its reach and showcase growth. The existing site needed enhancements in user engagement, clarity of EcoCart’s sustainable mission, and credibility through live project visuals.

The Strategy
The UX strategy began with user interviews and surveys to identify pain points, revealing the need for clearer navigation, improved content hierarchy, and better storytelling. The platform was restructured to highlight EcoCart’s services, sustainability projects, and brand partnerships. Key enhancements included reorganised content for clarity, integration of live project visuals, and a refined design system to align with EcoCart’s identity and appeal to a broader audience.

 

The Design
The new design introduced a fresh, modern aesthetic with cohesive branding, clean layouts, and interactive elements to engage users. Live project visuals and partner logos were prominently displayed to build trust and credibility. Navigation was simplified to create a seamless user journey, and the platform was optimised for scalability, enabling it to support thousands of partner brands and their customers.
